SUNY BROOME: Whitney Point CSD would like to congratulate Jacob Quail and Elizabeth Czebiniak (not pictured) on receiving the 'Frank G. Paul Medal of Excellence' for their work in STEM throughout their high school careers. Jacob also received a scholarship in the same name.

NATE THE GREAT: Our First and Third Graders at the CEA enjoyed a visit from performer 'Nate The Great' this week!
Looking for summer camps for your child? Here are two to consider.
1. Long Point Camp via the Salvation Army – free overnight camp opportunity ages 6-12 years old.
2. Camp Hope – Bereavement Camp for Youth ages 6-14 years old experiencing a recent loss in the past year or several years.

Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6 - 10. Thank you to the PTA for helping to fund treats and refreshments. We would like to encourage all students and families to send a little note, or just say thank you to your child's teacher for all their amazing hard work for our kids!

Spring sports pictures will be on Friday, 4/26. Coaches have the scheduled times. Modified Softball will be May 6th. May 6th will be a make-up day also for any individual who can’t be photographed on Friday.
Attention Parents: Our Community Schools program is offering a 6-week cooking series led by Cornell Coopertive Extension. The classes will be held off campus in the kitchen of St. Patrick's Church. Participants will learn from a nutritional lesson and then meal prep a crockpot meal to take home and serve to your family.
Any families who do not have crockpots will be gifted a FREE crockpot.
All of the ingredients and supplies for each class will be provided as well.
There will be a special Board of Education meeting on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 6pm. It will be held in the HS Library and via Zoom. See accompanying graphic for details.

Our "Celebration of the Young Child" is just around the corner! You won't want to miss out on all of the fun-filled activities we have planned!
TRA's Family Literacy & Activity Night is April 25th from 5-7pm. Local author Melissa Chapman will join us with stories from her memoir "Distant Skies", there will be a Scholastic Book Fair table and horse inspired activities with Maine Mavericks and Pony Pals.
