Whitney Point Central School District proudly celebrates the outstanding performance of its 4th and 5th grade students at BOCES Engineering Day! Competing against teams from across the region, one of our 4th grade teams achieved the highest score and earned the coveted First Place award.
Students participated in a challenging and creative competition to design and build a Rube Goldberg machine. Using a box of supplies and following a set of rules and criteria, the teams worked together to create a machine capable of ringing a bell as the final step. In addition to constructing their machines, students prepared written instructions and delivered verbal explanations to a panel of judges.
The Whitney Point Eagles demonstrated exceptional teamwork, ingenuity, and problem-solving skills throughout the event. This accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of our students and the support of their teachers and families.
Congratulations to all participants for their creativity and collaboration, and a special shout-out to our First Place winners for making Whitney Point proud!
