Whitney Point High School music teacher Katharine Pullen

The National Society of High School Scholars recently selected Whitney Point High School Music Teacher Katie Pullen as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction. As a role model to students, Mrs. Pullen was nominated by one of her students, Alex Ellerson, a 2025 senior and member of band, jazz band, and the Tri-M Honor Society, for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in her profession.

Each year, student members of NHSHSS are invited to nominate the educator they feel has made the most significant contribution to their academic career for the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction award. This honor recognizes exemplary educators whose passion and devotion inspire their students to grow and develop as scholars, leaders and citizens.
