Ten 6th grade students in TRA health class were able to teach 5th graders as part of their final advocacy project. The students created slide shows and presented their own anti-tobacco messages to the 5th graders. They led the students in learning activities, including Q&A and anti-tobacco posters and t-shirt designs. Research shows that peer advocacy is effective in helping young people make healthier choices.
