This is a community event where public trunks are allowed; candy is provided through donations and parents must accompany their child. Candy donations can be dropped off to the high school main office and must be individually packaged. Animals are not permitted at trunk or treat.

FEMA has scheduled a nationwide test of emergency alert systems for ~2:20 pm today, Wednesday, Oct 4th.
Nationwide Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) test scheduled for October 4, 2023
1. On October 4, 2023, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) test.
2. The test includes sending a "test message" to all televisions, radios and cell phones.
3. At approximately 2:20 pm Eastern Standard Time, all powered on cellphones within range of a cell tower will receive a test alert message as part of FEMA’s nationwide test of its Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS).
4. The test will occur during school hours, and in some cases coincide with school dismissal time.

For almost 50 years Cabaret has been WPHS’s annual variety and talent showcase – this year it will be on Tuesday, June 13th at 7:00pm in the HS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 – proceeds support the HS Chorus & Select Chorus. The event will include over two dozen performances, including solos, duets, acting, comedy, short student films, and instrumental performances, as well as performances from the Chorus and Select Chorus.
REMINDER: There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.

Get ready for a basketball showdown like no other, as the Harlem Wizards take on the mighty WP Teachers and Alumni! It's a night of high-flying action that's perfect for the whole family, with unbelievable dunks, mind-blowing trick shots, and non-stop fun. The Harlem Wizards are known for their electrifying basketball skills, and they're coming to town to show us what they've got! But don't count out the WP Teachers and Alumni, who are stacked with some of the best basketball players in Whitney Point High School's history. This is a game that will go down in history, so make sure you're there to cheer on your favorite team!
